A Speech Given By Vaclav Klaus President of the Czech Republic September 7, 2012. Click link below for the entire speech.
Twenty years ago, it seemed to us that right in front of our eyes a
far-reaching shift was taking place on the “oppresion vs. freedom” and
the “state vs. market” axis. It was a justified feeling. It was
reinforced by the fact that our Velvet Revolution had taken place at a
time of the historically unique era of Ronald Reagan and Margaret
Thatcher. Thanks to them and in the world of ideas thanks to Hayek,
Friedman, Stigler and a few others, we believed that capitalism, at
least for a certain period of time, succeeded in defending itself
against global socialism. People like me knew that these individuals
were exceptional and unique, but we did not expect that what they
achieved would be so quickly forgotten. We erroneously hoped that the
changes that had been taking place at that time were irreversible.

David O McKay Speaks out aginst communism
With so many LDS people being fooled into thinking that communism and the united order are the same, we have included quotes from David O McKay as president of the Church.
"The position of this Church on the subject of Communism has never changed. We consider it the greatest
satanical threat to peace, prosperity, and the spread of God's work among men that exists on the face of the earth".
"Communism debases the individual and makes him the enslaved tool of the state, to which he must look for
sustenance and religion. Communism destroys man’s God-given free agency. No member of this Church
can be true to his faith, nor can any American be loyal to his trust, while lending aid, encouragement, or
sympathy to any of these false philosophies; for if he does, they will prove snares to his feet."

Anti-Federalist Papers
I found the Anti-Federalist Papers interesting as it contains some of the cautions of a all powerful central government. This is the top paragraph from the Anti-Federalist Papers site. I've also include a link to the papers in the book section.
"During the period from the drafting and proposal of the federal Constitution in September, 1787, until its ratification in 1789 there was an intense debate on ratification. The principal arguments in favor of it were stated in the series written by Madison, Hamilton, and Jay called the Federalist Papers, although they were not as widely read as numerous independent local speeches and articles. The arguments against ratification appeared in various forms, by various authors, most of whom used a pseudonym. Collectively, these writings have become known as the Anti-Federalist Papers. They contain warnings of dangers from tyranny that weaknesses in the proposed Constitution did not adequately provide against, and while some of those weaknesses were corrected by adoption of the Bill of Rights, others remained."

Quote from Howard W Hunter
This entire quote can be read in the side post under Quotes- Howard W Hunter
From my own experience in business and as a lawyer and church worker, and from my firsthand observations in this country and other countries of the world, there appears to me to be a trend to shift responsibility for life and its processes from the individual to the state. In this shift there is a basic violation of the law of the harvest, or the law of justice. The attitude of “something for nothing” is encouraged......The government will take from the “haves” and give to the “have nots.” Both have last their freedom. Those who “have,” lost their freedom to give voluntarily of their own free will and in the way they desire. Those who “have not,” lost their freedom because they did not earn what they received. They got “something for nothing,” and they will neither appreciate the gift nor the giver of the gift.
Under this climate, people gradually become blind to what has happened and to the vital freedoms which they have lost.

Quote From Thomas S Monson about Ezra Taft Benson
2. His voice of warning over many years in the cause of freedom can be found in hundreds of his speeches and in his books, including The Red Carpet, The Title of Liberty, This Nation Shall Endure, and An Enemy Hath Done This. On the two-hundredth anniversary of the signing of the Constitution of the United States, President Thomas S. Monson reflected: “I think it is no small coincidence in fact, I think it is the inspiration of the Almighty God that at this particular time we have serving as president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, President Ezra Taft Benson, one of the greatest advocates of freedom, and one of those who loves most the Constitution.” http://www.latterdayconservative.com/quotes/thomas-s-monson
